Supporting "WED 2026", Pram invites representatives from 32 nations for joint breaking of fast

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has committed to providing full support for the World Engineering Day (WED) 2026, which will be held in Jakarta on 3-5 March 2026.

Secretary General of the Indonesian Engineers Association (PII) Teguh Haryono explained that this support is evidenced by a welcome reception hosted by Pramono Anung as part of a joint breaking of fast at the Grand Hall, Jakarta City Hall Complex on 3 March 2026.

“Approximately 600 participants at WED 2026 in Jakarta will include delegations from 32 countries,” he said.

Teguh explained that Governor Pramono Anung welcomed and supported the hosting of the World Engineers’ Day 2026 centred in Jakarta.

Earlier, he and Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung had discussed Jakarta’s role as host of WED 2026 when receiving the PII Central Board on Thursday (5 February) at Jakarta City Hall.

WED 2026, running 3-5 March 2026 at Balai Kartini, Jakarta, will feature speakers from numerous countries representing various institutions, including UNESCO, WFEO, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, engineering organisations from several countries, academics, and industry leaders.
