Supporting UGM Trail Run 2026, PLN Introduces Digital Service Conveniences
PT PLN (Persero) Distribution Main Unit (UID) Yogyakarta, through the collaboration of the Sleman and Yogyakarta & Wonosari Customer Service Implementation Units (UP3), is supporting the UGM Trail Run (UGMTR) 2026, scheduled for 26–27 September 2026, at the Gelora Hargobinangun area, Kaliurang, Sleman.
During the event, PLN will present a PLN Mobile booth to bring services closer to the community while providing education on the convenience of digital electricity services. These include token purchases, bill payments, new connections, power changes, complaints, and information regarding electric vehicle (EV) charging.
The UGMTR 2026, organised by Universitas Gadjah Mada alongside the Kagama Lari Untuk Berbagi (KLUB) community, features categories of 7K, 15K, 30K, 50K, and a special 77K category in both individual and relay formats to celebrate UGM’s 77th anniversary. PLN’s presence serves as a form of support for sports, tourism, and environmental awareness in the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
General Manager of PLN UID Yogyakarta, Deri Prasetio Utomo, stated that PLN’s involvement in UGMTR 2026 is part of the company’s efforts to grow closer to the community through activities with positive values. “PLN continues to encourage the use of digital channels so that the public can access electricity services more easily, quickly, and transparently. Through PLN Mobile, various customer needs can be served within a single application,” said Deri.
Manager of PLN UP3 Sleman, Ririn Harwati, noted that the collaboration in UGMTR provides a momentum for PLN to introduce digital services directly to the public. “We want to be closer to the community, including through sporting activities that carry a positive spirit. UGM Trail Run is a momentum to introduce PLN Mobile while providing education on the ease of electricity services,” said Ririn.
Similarly, Manager of PLN UP3 Yogyakarta & Wonosari, Agung Pratomo, remarked that sporting events serve as an effective space for interaction to build closeness with customers. “For PLN, sporting events are a good space to interact directly with the public. We are not only present to ensure reliable electricity but also to introduce various PLN service conveniences through PLN Mobile,” said Agung.
He added that the development of the electric vehicle ecosystem makes information regarding EV charging services increasingly relevant to share with the public. “We hope PLN’s presence at the UGB Trail Run can provide a positive experience for participants. The spirit of exercising, protecting the environment, and utilising technology can go hand in hand with the convenience of electricity services,” he said.
One participant from Yogyakarta, Lita, who entered the 15K category after participating in the 7K category last year, appreciated the presence of the PLN Mobile booth. “At the PLN Mobile booth, we can ask about topping up electricity tokens and EV charging. Additionally, we can also receive merchandise such as tumblers and fans,” she said.
Another participant, Dediyohan, who entered the 30K category, also appreciated PLN’s support for the event. “Thank you for being a sponsor. We hope PLN can continue to support events like this, making them even more exciting, and that there are more activities that can be sponsored by PLN,” he said.
Through the collaboration of UP3 Sleman and UP3 Yogyakarta & Wonosari, PLN UID Yogyakarta continues to strengthen its presence within the community, not only through the reliability of the electricity supply but also through digital service innovation and support for positive activities that promote a healthy lifestyle and the development of tourism and the environment in Yogyakarta.
