PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI) continues to assert its commitment to supporting public housing through the expansion of financing access. This commitment was demonstrated through strategic synergy with the government and housing industry players during the Socialisation of KPP and FLPP Housing Financing Programmes for the Jakarta Region, held in East Jakarta.

The event was attended by the Minister of Housing and Residential Areas, Maruarar Sirait; BP Tapera Commissioner Heru Pudyo Nugropono; BRI Director of Consumer Banking, Aris Hartanto; and representatives from various housing developer associations, including REI, APERSI, and HIMPERRA.

Minister Maruarar Sirait expressed his appreciation for BRI’s role in ensuring that housing finance programmes are implemented effectively to provide real benefits to the community. He emphasised that the implementation at the operational level is key to ensuring government policies reach the public.

“We must ensure that President Prabowo’s excellent and pro-people directives, particularly regarding Housing KUR, are not slowed down or misaligned during implementation. I asked: is it slow? The answer is fast at BRI. Is there any illegal levying? There is none. Is it made difficult? There is none. BRI has proven that as part of the state, it is capable of executing this mission effectively, efficiently, and productively,” Maruarar stated.

During the event, BRI recorded the distribution of Housing Programme Credit (KPP) totalling Rp427.5 billion to 1,619 debtors. This distribution includes supply-side financing of Rp242.5 billion to 110 debtors, comprising developers (Rp73.6 billion to 29 debtors), building material stores (Rp39.8 billion to 23 debtors), and housing contractors (Rp129.1 billion to 58 debtors). Meanwhile, demand-side financing reached Rp185 billion for 1,509 MSME debtors.

BRI Director of Consumer Banking, Aris Hartanto, emphasised that this socialisation and facility distribution is a manifestation of the Company’s strategic commitment to accelerating housing finance inclusion in Indonesia. This step serves as tangible evidence of institutional synergy in building a sustainable housing ecosystem.

“Today’s socialisation is part of a collective effort to introduce the KPP Programme to a wider audience. The hope is that more people will become aware of the ease of access to housing finance provided by the government through the banking sector. This programme is not only intended to help the public obtain homes through affordable financing but also to support the development of the housing ecosystem as a whole,” said Aris.

Nationally, BRI’s housing finance portfolio continues to show positive performance. As of 8 September 2026, BRI has distributed KPP amounting to Rp12 trillion to 83,210 debtors. Meanwhile, the realisation of the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) has reached 25,030 housing units, in line with the commitment target of 60,000 units for this year.

“We hope that today’s activities can provide real benefits to the community. BRI will continue to strengthen its role in supporting the acceleration of the 3 Million Houses Programme through synergy with the government and developers,” concluded Aris.

BRI provides various attractive offers under the KPR Sejahtera programme and KPP facilities available until 31 December 2026, including a low 1% down payment, a fixed interest rate of 5% for up to 20 years, and various other incentives.
