The IKN Authority and the East Kalimantan Regional Police (Polda Kaltim) have initiated the construction of the supporting office for the IKN Police Resort’s operational unit, as part of strengthening readiness for security and public order services in the IKN area. “Polda Kaltim is committed to fully supporting the IKN development policy,” said East Kalimantan Police Chief Irjen Pol Endar Priantoro on Saturday, when asked about the construction of the supporting office for the IKN Police Resort in Sepaku, Penajam Paser Utara. “We are also committed to readiness in security and public services through the construction of the IKN Police Resort,” he added. The presence of the police institution in the Sepaku Subdistrict area is expected to bring it closer to the community and provide a sense of security, continued Endar Priantoro, and serve as the foundation for further development of larger-scale police services in IKN. The construction of the IKN Police Resort supporting office is a strategic step and the foundation for the presence of police infrastructure, added Secretary of the IKN Authority, Bimo Adi Nursanthyasto, in the new Indonesian capital area. The construction of the IKN Police Resort supporting office requires full support from all parties to run optimally and provide long-term benefits, and to become an important foundation for the presence of police services in IKN. It is hoped that the entire construction process will proceed with full responsibility, prioritising quality, and capable of supporting the creation of security and order in the future, said Bimo Adi Nursanthyasto.
