Supporting National Investment Management Consolidation Strategy, BRI Announces Transfer of BRI-MI and PNM-IM Shares to Danantara
PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI) announced the transfer of shares in PT BRI Manajemen Investasi (BRI-MI) and PT PNM Investment Management (PNM-IM) to PT Danantara Asset Management. This initiative supports the government’s strategy for consolidating national investment management.
The announcement was made to align with efforts to optimise the management of state-owned investments through a single entity. BRI, as the controlling shareholder, signed a conditional share purchase agreement (PJBB) with Danantara for the transfer of all 1,000 shares of BRI-MI, equivalent to 100% of its issued and paid-up capital.
Meanwhile, PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM), as a BRI-controlled entity, also signed a PJBB with PT Danantara Asset Management for the transfer of 109,999 shares of PNM-IM. This amount is equivalent to 99.999% of the total shares issued by PNM-IM.
Danantara, established as a state-owned holding company for asset management, will oversee these entities to improve governance and performance in investment activities. This consolidation is expected to strengthen the overall framework for managing Indonesia’s sovereign wealth and investments.
