Coinciding with National Tax Day, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI) has underscored its consistency in contributing to state revenue. Under the supervision of Danantara, BRI continues to solidify its role as one of the largest tax depositors from the financial industry in Indonesia. This contribution is a tangible manifestation of BRI’s commitment to creating sustainable economic value for the country.

Amid a challenging global economic situation, BRI remains consistent in its contributions to the state. In the first three months of 2026, BRI’s total consolidated deposits reached Rp19.1 trillion, consisting of Rp8.1 trillion in taxes and Rp11.0 trillion in current year dividends.

Looking back, this consistency is reflected in the achievements over the last three years. In 2023, BRI paid a total of Rp50.5 trillion, comprising Rp27.3 trillion in taxes and Rp23.2 trillion in current year dividends. Subsequently, in 2024, BRI’s deposits rose to Rp57.6 trillion, consisting of Rp31.9 trillion in taxes and Rp25.7 trillion in dividends. In 2025, the company again contributed to the state with deposits totalling Rp55.8 trillion, comprising Rp28.1 trillion in taxes and Rp27.7 trillion in current year dividends.

These deposits encompass various state obligations, including Income Tax, Value Added Tax, Stamp Duty, Corporate Income Tax, and Regional Taxes.

BRI President Director Hery Gunardi stated that tax payments are a tangible contribution by BRI to support state revenue and national development. This aligns with the directives of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises and Danantara Indonesia to encourage sustainable value creation for the country. “We believe that tax compliance is not only a form of corporate responsibility but also a direct contribution to the nation’s progress,” he said. He further emphasised that the strength of BRI’s contribution reflects the company’s strategic position in supporting the national fiscal structure and overall economic development.
