Supporting MBG Programme, Frisian Flag Ensures Product Quality This Way
Corporate Affairs Director of PT Frisian Flag Indonesia, Andrew Saputro, openly discussed the company’s support for the Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) programme. He stated that before the MBG programme was launched, the company conducted a pilot project at around 10 primary schools in Cikarang in collaboration with ISFR and supported by FKM UI at the end of 2024. This was done to prove that the company could implement good quality control and provide nutritious products. “We carried out the project in 10 primary schools to see or try launching something like MBG with an approach or programme that is 90% the same as the current MBG. We wanted to prove that with good control standards, strict SOPs, good nutrition, up to evaluation and monitoring,” he said at the Food Summit 2026 event in the Auditorium of Bank Mega Building, Jakarta, on Monday (27/4/2026). Furthermore, he continued, the company also measured and successfully proved that the efforts carried out over those three months ran smoothly and the children’s nutritional status was indeed improved. Looking ahead, the company is ready to collaborate with various stakeholders to support this well-regarded programme. “We obtained good benefits for more than 2,000 children because the key is collaboration, strict standards, and continuous evaluation over three months,” he concluded.
