Supporting Maritime Human Resources, Pertamina Trans Kontinental Goes to Campus
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK) held PTK Goes to Campus (PGTC) at two vocational maritime universities in Makassar on Tuesday and Wednesday, 28 and 29 April 2026. PGTC is a corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, as well as PTK’s commitment to supporting young talent in the maritime field.
“This event is also part of PTK’s CSR to help Indonesian seafarers become more competitive globally,” explained Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental, Subagjo H Moeljanto, quoted on Friday (1/5/2026).
One of the PGTC activities took place at Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran (PIP) Makassar on Tuesday (28/4). In front of 800 cadets, PTK speakers Captain Costantinus Fatlolon and Captain Sofyani Faisol shared knowledge on various aspects of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) in shipping, as well as an overview of the global maritime industry.
PGTC was also held at Politeknik Pelayaran Barombong, Makassar, on Wednesday (29/4). PTK Commissioner Hartanto explained that digitalisation in the maritime industry has developed significantly at present.
“Seafarers must continue to develop their knowledge, not only to standard levels but even higher to keep up with the times and digital technology,” he stated.
In addition to the public lectures, PTK also inaugurated support for the development of cadets’ knowledge with the “Pojok LiteraSea” facility, a digital learning resource, at PIP Makassar.
The inauguration was carried out by PTK’s Operations Director Yudi Wibisono and the Director of PIP Makassar, Capt Rudi Susanto. The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, Subagjo H Moeljanto, was also present at the inauguration event, while conducting a working visit to the area of PTK’s business operations in Makassar.
