Supporting Jakarta's Creative Economy, Bank Jakarta Receives OJK Appreciation
The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has given full appreciation to Bank Jakarta’s strategic steps in advancing the creative economy sector in the capital. Bank Jakarta’s involvement is considered crucial for the success of the Regional Economic Development Programme (PED), a flagship initiative of the Regional Financial Access Acceleration Team (TPAKD) of DKI Jakarta Province.
Head of the Directorate of Financial Services Business Actor Behaviour Supervision, Education, Consumer Protection and Strategic Management Services at OJK, Nuning Isnainijati, highlighted the importance of Bank Jakarta’s role. She assessed that this support could make the creative economy a primary driver (game changer) in realising Jakarta’s ambition to become a Top 20 Global City.
“We extend our thanks and appreciation to Bank Jakarta for its support and contribution to the Regional Economic Development Programme (PED), which is one of the flagship programmes of the DKI Jakarta Province TPAKD in encouraging the strengthening of the creative economy sector as a game changer to accelerate the realisation of the Top 20 Global City vision,” Nuning said during her speech at the PED Commitment Ceremony for the Advertising and Event Ecosystem at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, quoted on Monday, 6 July 2026.
At the event, which was also attended by Bank Jakarta’s SME Business Group Leader, Bambang Nurcahyo, Nuning outlined the track record of the bank’s active involvement. Particularly in the event and advertising sub-sectors, the bank’s commitment has been visible from the initial planning phase through to implementation preparation.
Bank Jakarta was actively involved from the pre-FGD meeting in April 2026, continuing to the FGD on 12 May 2026, and a series of pre-implementation follow-ups throughout June 2026. Nuning views this cross-sector collaboration as an excellent initial foundation for creating a resilient ecosystem.
“We will continue to strengthen this synergy and collaboration as a foundation for the implementation of sustainable cooperation in the future,” she said. This commitment ceremony for the event and advertising sub-sector is part of the 2026 Jakarta Kreatif Festival. Through this cooperation, it is hoped that access to financing for creative economy players will be more open, competitiveness will increase, and inclusive economic growth in Jakarta can be created.
