Jakarta, VIVA – The Minister of Law and Human Rights, Supratman Andi Agtas, has stressed the importance of maintaining professionalism, integrity, and tangible contributions from notaries across Indonesia to support national development, the economy, the investment climate, and the legal framework.

He conveyed this during the official opening of the Expanded Central Board Plenary Meeting (RP3YD)/Pre-Congress of the Indonesian Notaries Association (INI), held in Batam, Riau Islands.

Supratman emphasised that the Ministry of Law and Human Rights is committed to continuously promoting improvements in the quality, integrity, and professionalism of notaries throughout Indonesia.

“Particularly in providing legal certainty to the public, as well as supporting the investment climate and national development,” Supratman stated in his remarks on Wednesday, 15 April 2026.

“Because the role of notaries as public officials is considered highly strategic in creating legal certainty within society,” he added.

The event, which includes strategic training for notaries from across Indonesia, serves as a crucial moment in preparing for the Indonesian Notaries Association (INI) Congress scheduled for the end of 2026.

Supratman highlighted that this forum is an important opportunity for reflection among all members of the Indonesian Notaries Association (INI) in fulfilling their roles and responsibilities.

“Through this activity, it is hoped that all notaries can reflect on continuing to build a better Indonesia, in line with their respective duties and functions,” he said.

Meanwhile, the General Chairman of the Indonesian Notaries Association, Dr. Irfan Ardiansyah, stated that the event is a strategic step in strengthening the organisation’s readiness to face future legal challenges.

“The RP3YD and the series of training sessions provide a vital momentum to unify the organisation’s direction and stance, while ensuring that all notaries have a comprehensive understanding of the evolving regulations,” he remarked.

It is known that the RP3YD forum, taking place from 15-16 April 2026, discusses several crucial organisational agendas, including draft amendments to the Articles of Association and Bylaws (AD/ART), congress implementation plans, coordination meetings of the Honorary Council, and the formulation of recommendations and unified organisational positions.

Beyond focusing on institutional matters, the event also features training sessions designed to enhance the capacity and readiness of notaries in addressing increasingly dynamic legal regulatory developments, with speakers from government, academia, and leading legal practitioners.
