PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) has forged a long-term financial partnership with Green SM Indonesia through the signing of an investment loan agreement valued at Rp600 billion (approximately USD 35.33 million).

This five-year loan facility is intended to strengthen the operational preparedness and service sustainability of Green SM Indonesia in the urban mobility sector. The collaboration serves as an important milestone in supporting the transition to environmentally friendly and integrated transportation in Indonesia’s major cities.

Green SM Indonesia, a provider of all-electric taxi services, will utilise this funding to maintain disciplined company growth. Since its launch in Jakarta in December 2024, Green SM has expanded to several major cities such as Jakarta, Bekasi, Surabaya, Bali, and Makassar.

Deny Tjia, Managing Director of Green SM Indonesia, stated that this agreement represents trust in the company’s measured and long-term oriented operational model.

“This facility strengthens the company’s financial foundation, supporting the delivery of stable and consistent services across all cities where we operate,” said Deny.

SVP Corporate Banking BCA, Denny Haryanto, emphasised that this step is part of BCA’s role in supporting businesses adapting to the needs of modern urban development.

“Sustainable transportation is becoming increasingly important for urban development in Indonesia. Through this collaboration, we are supporting initiatives that align with long-term economic resilience and environmental responsibility,” said Denny.

The partnership between the two parties actually began a year ago with the launch of Green SM’s market through various environmentally friendly transportation education programmes. The transition from programme collaboration to formal financing arrangements reflects the maturity of the partnership and Green SM Indonesia’s strong governance standards.

The all-electric taxi services offered by Green SM Indonesia are designed to address the complex challenges of urban mobility while reducing exhaust gas emissions and noise pollution.

Both parties agree that the transition to sustainable mobility requires not only robust electric vehicle (EV) technology but also healthy financial structures, responsible governance, and long-term commitment from all stakeholders.
