Supporting Disaster Survivors' Livelihoods, PRR Task Force Continues to Drive Distribution of Various Social Aids
The Task Force for Accelerating Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (Satgas PRR) post-Sumatra disaster continues to drive the distribution of various social assistance (bansos) to support the livelihoods of survivors of floods and landslides in Aceh Province, North Sumatra (Sumut), and West Sumatra (Sumbar). The social assistance distributed consists of life guarantee aid (jadup), housing contents aid (BIH), and social and economic stimulus aid (BSSE). These aid packages are distributed to support the acceleration of recovery while helping to meet the economic needs of disaster survivors. Daily reports from Satgas PRR as of 6 April 2026 record that the distribution of jadup, BIH, and BSSE aid has reached 60,373 out of 66,008 recipient souls, with a total disbursed fund of Rp483.959.85 billion. In Sumut, the aid has reached 11,091 souls with a total fund of Rp101.371.3 billion. Meanwhile, in Sumbar, the aid has reached 1,799 souls with a total disbursed fund of Rp16.290.550 billion. For information, jadup aid worth Rp15,000 is distributed per soul per day for three months. Meanwhile, BIH is distributed under a scheme worth Rp3 million per family head. BSSE is given worth Rp5 million per family. These steps are taken to ensure that the recovery process not only touches physical infrastructure but also the purchasing power of the community that must recover post-disaster. To complement the basic needs of disaster survivors, Satgas PRR also disburses housing waiting funds (DTH) for disaster survivors who do not choose to live in temporary housing (huntara). DTH aid of Rp600,000 is allocated per month for a period of three months, so each family head receives a total fund of Rp1.8 million. The Head of the Task Force (Kasatgas) for PRR post-Sumatra disaster, Muhammad Tito Karnavian, said that the various aids are distributed in parallel to disaster survivors alongside the ongoing construction of decent housing. This statement was delivered by Tito during his visit to Sekumur Village, Sekerak Subdistrict, Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh, on Saturday (4/4/2026). He explained that while permanent housing (huntap) is not yet completed, disaster survivors will receive side dish aid of Rp15,000 per person per day for three months. “While huntap is not yet built, the community should not worry, because huntara is available. The side dish money fund of Rp15,000 per person per day will continue to run. If huntap is not yet built (within) three months, it will still be given,” said Tito in a press release received by Kompas.com on Wednesday (8/4/2026).
