REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – As a form of support for the Indonesian Government’s Decent Housing Programme, PT TASPEN (Persero) held a strategic meeting to discuss and formulate the technical implementation of the programme for civil servants (ASN) and retirees. The discussions covered financing schemes, institutional collaborations, and implementation models as efforts to improve participant welfare through access to decent and affordable housing. Present at the meeting at the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas office on 21 April 2026 were the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas Maruarar Sirait, TASPEN President Director Rony Hanityo Aprianto, TASPEN Chief Commissioner Fary Djemy Franscis, and Bank Mandiri Taspen President Director Panji Irawan. Fary stated that this decent housing provision programme is part of the innovations initiated by TASPEN to expand protection benefits for participants. ‘ASN and retirees not only need pension guarantees but also broader welfare support, including access to decent, affordable, and sustainable housing,’ he said in a statement on Thursday (23/4/2026). This initiative also reaffirms TASPEN’s commitment to delivering relevant innovations for participant needs and striving to provide tangible impacts for participants. The goal is to enhance participant welfare, in this case for ASN workers and retirees. ‘This inaugural meeting marks a good start in developing the TASPEN participant housing scheme, which is expected to become one of TASPEN’s strategic programmes going forward,’ Fary explained. This initiative aligns with President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita programme in encouraging the active role of state-owned enterprises to present innovations that directly impact society and strengthen national economic resilience. TASPEN continues to commit to strengthening its role as a professional, trusted, and sustainable institution in managing participant funds, as well as becoming a centre of excellence in social security management for ASN and state officials. This includes developing a more comprehensive protection and welfare ecosystem, such as providing access to decent and affordable housing.
