Members of the Water and Air Police Directorate (Ditpolairud) of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police carried out a clean-up of places of worship, in line with directives from President Prabowo Subianto.

“We conducted the clean-up of places of worship as part of implementing the programme of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, namely the Indonesia ASRI Movement,” said Jakarta Metropolitan Police Water and Air Police Director Commissioner Mustofa on Monday (23/2/2026).

The Indonesia ASRI Movement is an acronym standing for aman (safe), sehat (healthy), rapi (tidy), and indah (beautiful). A total of 20 personnel, led by the Head of the Patrol Sub-directorate of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police’s Ditpolairud, Senior Commissioner Muhammad Helmi Wibowo, cleaned the Jami Nurul Ikhwan Mosque at the Penjaringan Pump Station in North Jakarta.

The clean-up activity by Bhayangkara Jakarta ASRI (Bang Jasri) also involved mosque administrators and local residents in cleaning the Jami Nurul Ikhwan Mosque on the same afternoon.

“This activity represents a form of care from the Jakarta Metropolitan Police’s Ditpolairud towards the community and supports the programme of President Prabowo Subianto, namely the Indonesia ASRI Movement, carried out by the Bang Jasri Task Force,” he said.

The ASRI Movement was initiated by Prabowo as a national commitment to maintaining cleanliness involving all elements of society, local governments, the Indonesian military and police, and state-owned enterprises. The Indonesian government under Prabowo’s leadership has prioritised waste management and environmental cleanliness.

President Prabowo has declared war on waste, emphasising a comprehensive approach ranging from mass clean-up drives to the implementation of environmentally friendly technology.
