Jakarta – Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo reported that the volume of digital payment transactions in February 2026 reached 4.67 billion transactions, growing 40.35 per cent year-on-year.

“Supported by expanded acceptance of digital payments,” said Perry during a teleconference on Tuesday, 17 March 2026.

He added that the growth in digital economic and financial transactions in February 2026 remained strong, supported by a safe, smooth and reliable payment system.

Transaction volumes through mobile applications and the internet respectively grew by 9.49 per cent year-on-year and 22.16 per cent year-on-year, including Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) transactions which continued to grow strongly, reaching 133.2 per cent year-on-year.

“This positive performance was supported by an increase in the number of users and merchants,” said Perry.

Looking at infrastructure, the volume of retail transactions processed through BI-FAST reached 434 million transactions, growing 31.49 per cent year-on-year with transaction values reaching Rp1.092 trillion in February 2026.

Meanwhile, the volume of large-value transactions processed through the Bank Indonesia Real Time Gross Settlement (BI-RTGS) was recorded at 0.76 million transactions, slowing 5.33 per cent year-on-year.

This occurred amid the nominal value of BI-RTGS transactions continuing to grow 9.19 per cent year-on-year, reaching Rp16.105 trillion in February 2026.

“From the perspective of rupiah management, Currency in Circulation (UYD) grew 15.78 per cent year-on-year to Rp1.287 trillion in February 2026,” he said.
