Support for Mega

Knowing the decision of Basofi Sudirman, political patron for
the province of East Java, I feel a sad need to write this
letter. Envious and greedy people continuously try to hamper the
Indonesian Democratic Party (PDI), especially its tough and firm
but cool chairwoman, Megawati, in her management of the party's
programs.

Frankly speaking, this situation actually earns the party more
sympathy and support. I also hope it gives Mega more spirit to
cope with any problems the party may face. Regarding the party's
unsolved conflict, we should admire Mega for her adherence to the
principle of maintaining Sutjipto as the legitimate leader of
PDI's East Java chapter.

The only thing I would like to say is: Mega, never give up.
Time will prove that you are a woman capable of managing the
problems, particularly the development of political life in
Indonesia. Please prove that you can unite and solve the problem
as beautifully as your name Mega, which means cloud, indicates.
Clouds make us feel fresh and tranquil when it is very hot. I
hope the conflicts your party faces will never keep you from
upholding justice and the concept of Pancasila democracy in our
country.
