Supply of MinyaKita Subsidised Cooking Oil in Bangka Island Secured

The availability of the subsidised MinyaKita cooking oil on Bangka Island, in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, has been declared safe and secure. This is reflected in the abundant supply still present in several traditional markets and the stock held at the Perum BULOG warehouse in the Bangka branch to meet the daily needs of the community. MinyaKita remains easily found at various points of sale. Traders in traditional markets acknowledge that stocks of the subsidised cooking oil are still quite plentiful and the supply flow is running smoothly without obstacles. Currently, there are 516,000 litres of MinyaKita stored in the Bulog Bangka Branch warehouse, which is an allocation from the Belitung Food Procurement Task Force. This quantity is deemed more than sufficient to cover the needs of all residents on Bangka Island. Head of Perum Bulog Bangka Branch, Dimas Wage Tantri, stated that all existing stock will continue to be distributed through the established official distribution channels. Distribution is carried out to markets that are part of the Affordable and Safe Food Market System, Bulog’s Rumah Pangan Kita network, and a number of related agencies and services that act as official distributors. ‘For this June, we received an allocation of 1,600,000 litres of MinyaKita. This amount will be distributed to markets in the affordable food system registered with the Trade Office, BULOG’s Rumah Pangan Kita network, as well as designated agencies as distribution lines,’ said Dimas. He stated that his party can guarantee availability according to that amount because the entire MinyaKita supply is obtained from the Food Procurement Task Force. ‘In terms of price, we continue to sell in accordance with the Highest Retail Price provisions, which is Rp14,500 per litre at the distributor level. We only distribute to the second level and retailers,’ he said. Meanwhile, stall traders also confirm that the MinyaKita supply they receive runs routinely and regularly. In one week, deliveries are made twice, so stock at the stalls is never empty and is always ready for residents to buy. At the retailer level, the selling price also complies with the applicable regulations, which is Rp15,700 per litre. Sudarno, a trader at Pangkalanbaru Market, admitted that the supply from Bulog is highly guaranteed. ‘This afternoon there was already a confirmation of a new shipment. Usually deliveries are made twice a week. The quota I get is around 200 litres each delivery, and that amount is sufficient to meet buyer demand,’ he said. With abundant stock, a smooth distribution flow and prices still in accordance with regulations, the public is urged not to panic or worry about a scarcity of subsidised cooking oil in the market until the end of this month.
