Superblock project to start next year
JAKARTA (JP): A superblock project on Jl. Rasuna said, South Jakarta, will start next year.
Jecob Soetoyo, president of PT Dharma Alumas Sakti said in a release available to The Jakarta Post yesterday that his office had invested at least Rp 250 billion in the project.
The superblock will be built on a five-hectare plot where the students' sport hall Soemantri Brodjonegoro used to stand.
The superblock will consist of a 24-floor apartment building, two office buildings, a shopping center, sports complex, three civic centers and a cineplex, Jecob said.
The superblock will be built gradually.
The Rp 110 billion-apartment project will start in February or March next year, he said. "We are now applying for the permits."
The apartment project is scheduled for completion within 18 months.
A consortium of PT Dharma Alumas Sakti and two developers from Singapore and Malaysia are in charge of constructing the apartments, he said. He did not reveal the names of the foreign partners.
The 60,000 square meter office buildings and the shopping center will be built soon after the apartment building is completed. (sur)
