Persib Bandung will face a tough challenge to maintain their position at the top of the standings when they host Madura United in the 23rd week of the 2025/2026 Super League at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA) Stadium, Thursday (26/2) evening.

Maung Bandung currently leads the standings with 50 points, closely followed by Persija Jakarta. Persib’s home record this season has been very impressive, as they have won all 11 matches at GBLA. Coach Bojan Hodak emphasized the importance of patience in breaking down the opponent’s defense.

“Madura United now looks better and more solid in defense. They will likely play very defensively, so we have to be very patient in building our attacks,” said Hodak ahead of the match.

The good news for Bobotoh is the return of Marc Klok to the squad after being absent for four weeks due to injury. In addition to Klok, star players such as Thom Haye and Layvin Kurzawa are also confirmed to be in good condition to strengthen Persib’s midfield and defense.

Although they are in the lower half of the standings, Madura United cannot be underestimated. Coach Carlos Pereira has started to find his rhythm with a three-back formation. Laskar Sape Kerrab relies on the speed of Lulinha and the sharpness of Maxuel Silva in the front line to exploit gaps through counter-attacks.

Will Persib Bandung be able to continue their winning streak, or will Madura United be the first team to steal points at GBLA this season?
