Super Air Jet airline has officially opened a direct route from Jakarta to Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). This direct flight route is believed to make journeys to Labuan Bajo, whether for tourism or business travel, more practical.

“Without needing multiple transits, just one direct flight, and tourists can enjoy the charm of the destination known as the gateway to Komodo National Park,” said Super Air Jet’s President Director, Ari Asheri, in a press release reported by detikTravel on Sunday (22/3/2026).

The Jakarta-Labuan Bajo route will commence operations on 29 March 2026 and is available daily. The flight from Jakarta to Labuan Bajo is scheduled to depart at 13:00 WIB and arrive at 16:25 WITA. Meanwhile, the return flight from Labuan Bajo to Jakarta departs at 17:05 WITA and arrives at 18:25 WIB.

The Jakarta-Labuan Bajo flight route also facilitates connectivity from various regions. Tourists from cities such as Banda Aceh, Medan, Padang, and Pontianak can now connect to Labuan Bajo with just one transit in Jakarta. Not only that, access is also opened for international travellers from Penang, Singapore, Bangkok, and Kuala Lumpur.

Thus, travel to Labuan Bajo, which previously felt complicated, now becomes faster and more efficient. “This convenience adds value for anyone wanting to ‘heal lightly’ after Eid, hunt for content at a premium destination, or conduct business travel in a different atmosphere,” said Ari.

All travel needs can also be prepared in one application, namely BookCabin, from ticket booking, hotel selection, to online check-in, making the journey more practical and hassle-free.

Super Air Jet, on the Jakarta-Labuan Bajo flight, uses an Airbus A320-200 aircraft with a capacity of 180 economy class seats. This direct connectivity is expected to drive tourism growth in Labuan Bajo and strengthen inter-regional relations, both domestic and international.
