Supadio Airport enhances services and wins two international awards
Pontianak — Supadio Airport has continued to enhance service quality for passengers and has secured two international awards at the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Customer Experience Awards 2025, announced on 24 February 2026.
The airport, managed by InJourney Airports, received the distinction of Best Airport of 2 to 5 Million Passengers in Asia-Pacific and Easiest Airport Journey in Asia-Pacific from Airports Council International (ACI), according to Joko Wahyudi, branch communication officer for PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia at the Supadio International Airport office in Sungai Raya.
These awards form part of a total of 32 international awards won by the ten airports under InJourney Airports’ management this year.
The ACI ASQ Customer Experience Awards programme is the only global initiative that directly measures passenger satisfaction in real-time whilst they are at the airport, both in the departure and arrival areas. The assessment is based on genuine user experience and serves as one of the primary benchmarks for airport service quality worldwide.
For West Kalimantan, this achievement reinforces Supadio Airport’s commitment to providing an easy, comfortable, and internationally-standard travel experience for the public. “With increasing passenger mobility and growing air connectivity, improving service quality is key to strengthening the region’s competitiveness whilst supporting regional economic growth,” Wahyudi said.
Mohammad R. Pahlevi, Chief Executive of InJourney Airports, described the achievement as an important phase in realising airports as the face and pride of the nation. He added that the award serves as proof that the airport transformation programme being carried out since InJourney Airports was officially established in September 2024 is on the right track.
The transformation is based on three main pillars: Premises (strengthening infrastructure and facilities focused on customer experience), Process (inter-agency collaboration to improve efficiency and service integration), and People (developing human resources to global standards with a customer-centric orientation), supported by technology as an enabler.
Achmad Syahir, Deputy Chief Executive of InJourney Airports, noted that the ASQ award is not merely an achievement but also serves as material for continuous evaluation in improving service standards.
Beyond Supadio Airport in Pontianak, several other major airports have also received awards, including Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali, Yogyakarta International Airport, and Sultan Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar.
