Sunken Road Now Passable, Traffic Flowing Smoothly on Lenteng Agung Street

The sunken road on Lenteng Agung Street in South Jakarta (Jaksel) is now passable after being covered with steel plates. Traffic flow has largely returned to normal, though there are slight delays approaching the affected area. Monitoring at the scene on Friday, 29 May 2026, at 18:10 WIB showed vehicles slowing down when passing over the steel plates covering the sunken road, causing minor queues. However, congestion was limited to approximately 100 metres before the sunken section. Vehicles resumed normal speeds after passing the site. Several police officers and the Transport Department (Dishub) remain on site, managing traffic around the area. Previously, Lenteng Agung Main Road had collapsed, creating a large sinkhole. A motorcyclist had fallen into the hole. The fire department received the report at 04:15 WIB. The sinkhole was located on Lenteng Agung Main Road, RT 7 RW 2, Srengseng Sawah, Jagakarsa District, South Jakarta. The collapsed section is now covered with steel plates, allowing all three lanes to be used, compared to only one lane previously.
