Sunday: Mobile SIM Services Available at Two Locations in Jakarta

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Directorate of Traffic of the Metro Jaya Police is providing mobile driving licence (SIM) services at two locations in Jakarta on Sunday to help residents renew the validity period of this legal driving requirement.

According to the official X (formerly Twitter) account of TMC Polda Metro Jaya, the services are located at:

East Jakarta: Jalan Raden Inten Kalimalang, next to McDonald’s Duren Sawit

West Jakarta: Jalan Panjang, next to Indomaret Kebon Jeruk

The mobile SIM kiosks in East and West Jakarta are open from 07:00 to 12:00 WIB.

Some required documents include a photocopy of a valid ID card, a photocopy of the old SIM along with the original SIM, proof of health check, and proof of psychology test.

The mobile SIM kiosks only serve renewals of SIMs that are still valid for certain categories, namely SIM A and SIM C.

If the SIM’s validity period has expired, the owner must apply for a new SIM at the locations designated by the police.

Regarding renewal fees, in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) No. 60 of 2016 on Non-Tax State Revenue, they are Rp80,000 for SIM A and Rp75,000 for SIM C.

For renewing the validity of SIM B, it can only be done at the Driving Licence Administration Unit (Satpas) office due to differences in documents, as this SIM is designated for vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes.
