Sunday, Mobile SIM services available at two locations in Jakarta

Jakarta — The Ditlantas of the Metro Jaya Regional Police continues to offer Mobile Driving Licence (SIM Keliling) services at two locations in Jakarta to help residents extend the validity of the legal driving document this Sunday. Through the official X (Twitter) account of the Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Management Center (TMC), the services are at:

East Jakarta: Jalan Raden Inten Kalimalang, next to McD in Duren Sawit

West Jakarta: Jalan Panjang, next to Indomaret Kebon Jeruk

The SIM Keliling outlets operate from 07:00 to 12:00 WIB.

To access and be served at these SIM Keliling facilities, the public must prepare and complete the required documents and pay the administrative fees before attending the renewal location.

The requirements are: a copy of a valid KTP, a photocopy of the current SIM and the original SIM, a health check receipt, and a psychology test receipt.

This SIM Keliling service can only renew SIMs that are still valid for certain categories, namely SIM A and SIM C.

For SIMs with expired validity, holders must apply for a new SIM at locations designated by the police.

Regarding renewal fees, in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) No. 60 of 2016 on State Revenue and Non-Tax, the fee is Rp80,000 for SIM A and Rp75,000 for SIM C.

For SIM type B, renewal cannot be performed at the SIM Keliling service; it must be renewed at the SIM Administration Satpas due to different document purposes.

SIM B documents are for vehicles with a weight exceeding 3.5 tonnes.
