Sunda Kelapa Port optimises idle assets to boost revenue
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Sunda Kelapa Port is striving to optimise its idle or unused assets to improve operational efficiency and productivity through partnerships for the utilisation of these lands.
“Optimising idle assets is part of Sunda Kelapa Port’s strategy to increase revenue and strengthen its contribution to the national economy,” said the General Manager of Sunda Kelapa Port, Ahmad Fahmi, in Jakarta on Wednesday.
He stated that through these asset utilisation partnerships, Sunda Kelapa Port hopes to enhance its operational performance.
“This also provides added value for the community and supports sustainable economic growth,” he said.
Currently, there is a former KSOP site spanning 4,000 square metres, an ex-office area of 1,200 square metres, and the dock area in Zone VIII stretching 200 metres that are idle.
According to Fahmi, the utilisation of these assets will focus on supporting various productive activities. The former KSOP land will be used as a warehousing area and stacking yard.
Meanwhile, the ex-office area will be developed into a centre for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The dock area in Zone VIII will be used to support relocated passenger services from Ancol.
“As Indonesia’s oldest port, we continue to strive to optimise the idle assets we possess,” said Fahmi.
