The case of the alleged fake diploma of Indonesia’s 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) continues to unfold. This time, journalist Aiman Witjaksono has become embroiled and is scheduled to undergo examination by Metro Jaya Police. Aiman will be questioned as a witness regarding the television programme he hosted, which is suspected to be part of the evidence in the matter. The examination was originally scheduled for Monday, 30 March 2026. However, Aiman claimed to be unable to attend and requested a rescheduling. “Yes, the summons was for Monday, but I asked to reschedule it to Thursday,” he told reporters, quoted on Tuesday, 31 March 2026. He emphasised that the examination is not related to him personally, but to the journalistic programme he presents. “So, first as a witness, and second, it’s not related to me personally, but to the Rakyat Bersuara programme. Perhaps it’s about confirming whether there were broadcasts that the complainant is using as one of the pieces of evidence,” he said. “Once again, what needs to be underlined is that it’s not related to me personally, but to the journalistic broadcasts of Rakyat Bersuara,” he added. Previously, it was reported that digital forensics expert Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar submitted a request for restorative justice in the case of the alleged fake diploma of Indonesia’s 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). This was confirmed by the Director of General Criminal Investigation at Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Iman Imanuddin. He said the restorative justice request was submitted last week. “Last week, the request for restorative justice was submitted,” he said on Wednesday, 11 March 2026. Iman added that today the individual visited Metro Jaya Police Headquarters with his lawyer to inquire about the progress of the restorative justice he had applied for. Similar steps had previously been taken by two suspects in this case, Eggi Sudjana and Damai Hari Lubis. “RHS (Rismon) along with his lawyer is today inquiring about the letter that was previously submitted,” he said. In this case, Metro Jaya Police has divided it into two clusters. The first cluster consists of five suspects: Eggi Sudjana, Kurnia Tri Rohyani, Damai Hari Lubis, Rustam Effendi, and Muhammad Rizal Fadillah.
