Summarecon told to speed up

JAKARTA (JP): North Jakarta Mayor Suprawito has ordered
private housing developer PT Summarecon Agung to speed up the
construction of public and social facilities in its housing
projects.

Suprawito said over the weekend that the developer has built
13 public facilities in its housing projects, but five fail to
meet the requirements stated in an agreement between the company
and the North Jakarta mayoralty.

Under the agreement, each developer is obliged to build social
and public facilities such as parks, schools, and sports arenas
at their project sites.

In addition to the 13 facilities, Summarecon had previously
handed over four other facilities to the mayoralty.

Summarecon, according to the agreement with the mayoralty, is
obliged build 28 social and public facilities in its housing
projects. (29)
