Summarecon Bandung, which won a prestigious international award in 2024, has once again secured the Urban Regeneration accolade at the Real Estate Asia Built Environment Awards 2026. The award was accepted in person by Hindarko Hasan, Executive Director of Summarecon Bandung, during the Real Estate Asia Built Environment Awards 2026 ceremony held in Singapore on Thursday, 28 May 2026. The Urban Regeneration category marks a significant achievement for Summarecon Bandung, which transformed the East Bandung area, particularly Gedebage, into a dynamic integrated city within a relatively short 11-year period. The development integrates residential, commercial, and innovative infrastructure with a focus on green and sustainable building practices. Summarecon Bandung’s achievement demonstrates PT Summarecon Agung Tbk’s commitment to developing innovative, sustainable townships that enhance residents’ quality of life. Adrianto P Adhi, President Director of Summarecon, stated that the national and international awards received affirm the company’s commitment to creating townships that are not only economically valuable but also deliver long-term social and environmental benefits. ‘This success further cements Summarecon’s position as one of Indonesia’s developers consistently delivering townships with world-class development standards,’ he said in a statement on Saturday, 30 May 2026. Executive Director Hindarko Hasan expressed Summarecon Bandung’s gratitude for the Urban Regeneration award from Real Estate Asia. This recognition applauds Summarecon Bandung’s development, which balances modern urban progress with sustainable environmental practices, prioritising green spaces, connectivity, and quality of life as foundational elements. This is realised through integrated facilities such as Taman Sumringah public green space, commercial and lifestyle areas at Summarecon Mall Bandung, seamless mobility and connectivity via Gedebage Padaleunyi Toll Access, Whoosh high-speed rail, Tegalluar Summarecon High-Speed Train Station, and pedestrian-friendly designs across the area. ‘All these elements are designed to create a comfortable, dynamic, and sustainable urban environment for the community,’ said Hindarko. Following a rigorous evaluation and document review by nominators, Summarecon Bandung was named a winner in the prestigious Real Estate Asia Built Environment Awards 2026. Simon Hyett, Contributing Editor for the Real Estate Asia Awards 2026, said: ‘Consistency in innovation and sustainable development principles are key values that make projects stand out as winners in this award.’ Summarecon Bandung was planned and developed as an integrated residential and commercial area within a sustainable environment, addressing urban complexities while offering a modern lifestyle. Developed since 2015 with a masterplan designed to transform Gedebage into a new Bandung city centre in line with the Bandung City Spatial Plan. Sustainable approaches were implemented from the outset, including the creation of lakes and city parks covering a total area of 27 hectares. Over 2,000 residential units have been launched to date, with the latest luxury Cluster Xandari units priced at Rp28 billion each. To create a dynamic township, commercial facilities include well-known tenants such as McDonald’s, Bakmi GM, Texas Chicken, Lu Ji Tiam, Kopi Kosu, Setiabudhi Market, Jungle Padel, Dot Hub Space, Pasar Modern Sinpasa, and various other retailers. The opening of Summarecon Mall Bandung in 2024 has introduced new lifestyle trends in East Bandung. Educational and creative facilities include Al Azhar Summarecon Bandung Islamic School, Sedaya Bintang Integrated School, and the ITB Innovation Park. Additional facilities include places of worship such as Al Azhar Summarecon Bandung Grand Mosque and Bethel Indonesia Church, along with healthcare services from a hospital. Connectivity is enhanced through external circulation designs linked to strategic infrastructure, including the Gedebage KM 149 Padaleunyi Toll Exit and Whoosh high-speed rail via Tegalluar Summarecon Station, with a 10-minute travel time. This infrastructure accelerates the area’s development as an integrated business hub in East Bandung. Supported by strategic facilities from the Bandung City Government, such as Al Jabbar Grand Mosque and Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, Summarecon Bandung continues to develop into a comprehensive, dynamic, and high-value integrated township.
