Summarecon Bandung Transforms Gedebage Area into Integrated Sustainable City
PT Summarecon Agung Tbk, through Summarecon Bandung, has successfully transformed the eastern Bandung area, particularly Gedebage, into a dynamic integrated city within a relatively short period of 11 years.
President Director of Summarecon, Adrianto P. Adhi, stated that the development integrates residential, commercial, and innovative infrastructure areas, with a green and sustainable development approach.
“This success further strengthens Summarecon’s position as one of Indonesia’s developers consistently delivering townships with world-class development standards,” Adrianto said in a statement on Friday, 29 May 2026.
This achievement also contributed to Summarecon Bandung receiving a prestigious international award from Real Estate Asia in 2026 in the ‘Urban Regeneration’ category.
The award was personally received by Summarecon Bandung’s Executive Director, Hindarko Hasan, at the Real Estate Asia Built Environment Awards 2026 held in Singapore on Thursday, 28 May 2026.
Adrianto added that Summarecon Bandung’s achievements demonstrate PT Summarecon Agung Tbk’s commitment to developing innovative, sustainable, and community-focused integrated cities.
“The various awards, from national to international recognition, affirm Summarecon’s commitment to creating integrated cities that are not only economically valuable but also deliver long-term social and environmental impact,” he said.
Summarecon Bandung’s Executive Director, Hindarko Hasan, expressed gratitude for the Urban Regeneration award from Real Estate Asia.
He said it is a high honour for Summarecon Bandung’s development, which prioritises the balance between modern city advancement and sustainable environment, where green spaces, connectivity, and quality of life form the core foundations of the project.
This has been realised through integrated facilities such as Taman Sumringah, a public green open space, and commercial and lifestyle spaces at Summarecon Mall Bandung.
Additionally, integrated mobility and connectivity features include the Gedebage Padaleunyi Toll Access, Whoosh, and Summarecon Tegalluar High-Speed Rail Station, along with other facilities and a pedestrian-friendly concept throughout the area.
