Summarecon Agung Inaugurates Harris Serpong with Rp400 Billion Investment
PT Summarecon Agung Tbk has inaugurated the opening of Harris Hotel & Convention Serpong. The hotel, constructed with a Rp400 billion investment, is positioned to capture MICE (Meeting, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) activities in the Summarecon Serpong area, which has been developed by Summarecon since 2004.
“The presence of Harris Hotel & Convention Serpong serves as supporting infrastructure for business activities that will strengthen Summarecon Serpong’s positioning as a regional hub – a centre of economic, business, and meeting activities serving the Serpong area and surrounding regions. This simultaneously reflects that Summarecon Serpong has become an integrated city that is increasingly economically mature and active, supported by comprehensive facilities integrated with Mal Summarecon Serpong,” said President Director of PT Summarecon Agung Tbk. Adrianto P. Adhi in Serpong, Banten, on Friday (13 March 2026).
Adhi further stated, “The presence of Harris Hotel will increase economic and business activities that will contribute to the national and regional economies, particularly, and will open new employment opportunities in Serpong and the surrounding areas.”
Adhi disclosed that Summarecon allocated a Rp400 billion investment for constructing this hotel. “The hotel development investment is Rp400 billion, all supported by internal funds,” Adhi explained. “The cooperation period with Harris as the hotel operator is for 10 years,” added Adhi.
Synergy with Shopping Mall
Director of PT Summarecon Agung Tbk. Soegianto Nagaria stated that Harris Hotel & Convention Serpong will be the fifth hotel to enhance Summarecon’s hotel business portfolio. “In line with the development of the Summarecon Serpong Integrated City, the presence of Harris Hotel & Convention Serpong supports synergy with Summarecon Mall Serpong shopping centre. Harris’s location next to the mall is highly synergistic, making the mall increasingly bustling,” said Soegianto.
Soegianto explained that the strategic collaboration with The Ascott Limited presents Harris Hotel & Convention Serpong, which is Summarecon’s third hotel with the Harris brand. Previously, Harris Hotel & Convention Kelapa Gading opened in 2010 and Harris Hotel & Convention Bekasi in 2015.
