Sumitomo clinches geothermal order in Indonesia
Tokyo (ANTARA News/Asia Pulse) - Sumitomo Corp. (TSE:8053) has received a 14 billion yen (US$116.2 million) order for geothermal power equipment made by Fuji Electric Systems Co. for a private operator in Indonesia.
The equipment will be used in the expansion of the Wayang Windu power plant operated by Star Energy Holdings Ltd. in West Java. Its output of 117,000kw will be the largest for
its kind in the world.
Local construction firm PT Rekayasa Industri will handle installation of steam collection and delivery systems.
