Sumedang District Government continues to oversee the operational implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Programme (MBG). One of its efforts is to maintain strict supervision of the Nutrition Service Delivery Units (SPPG).

This week, Deputy Regent of Sumedang M Fajar Aldila visited the Kertamekar 2 SPPG kitchen in Kartamekar Village to monitor and oversee the provision of the Free Nutritious Meal Programme.

The inspection was conducted to ensure that MBG providers deliver food that is appropriate, hygienic, and meets standards for programme beneficiaries.

“In accordance with the Regent of Sumedang’s instructions, I must continue to exercise control over MBG providers to prevent human error in implementation. We cannot allow beneficiaries to receive food that is unfit for consumption,” the Deputy Regent stated.

Beyond ensuring food quality, the Deputy Regent also reminded MBG partner providers to prioritise the health conditions of workers in SPPG kitchens. Worker health represents a critical factor in maintaining service quality and minimising errors in food production processes.

“I also urge MBG partners to continue paying attention to the health of their workers. With healthy and fit workers, the programme implementation can run optimally and reduce the risk of human error,” he added.

Sumedang District Government remains committed to fully supporting the implementation of the MBG programme as part of national policy. The visit also served as part of the district government’s efforts to ensure the MBG programme operates effectively, reaches the intended recipients, and delivers optimal benefits to the community.
