Sumedang allocates minimum Rp100 billion for road repairs in 2027

The Sumedang Regency Government in West Java has prepared a minimum budget of Rp100 billion for road infrastructure repairs in 2027 to improve the regency’s road stability rate. Sumedang Regent Dony Ahmad Munir stated on Tuesday that the budget allocation had been agreed upon with the Sumedang Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) in the 2027 General Budget Policy and Provisional Budget Ceiling Priorities (KUA PPAS) memorandum of understanding. “The DPRD has agreed to allocate a minimum of Rp100 billion for road infrastructure in 2027,” he said. According to Dony, the funds are directed at accelerating the handling of regency roads, which span nearly 800 kilometres. “Hopefully, next year the road stability rate can reach 95 per cent,” he stated. He noted that the target is part of ongoing development and road management efforts carried out in 2025 and 2026. In 2025, the Sumedang Regency Government completed repairs on 57 road sections, achieving a road stability rate of 87.28 per cent, while in 2026 it is targeting repairs on 66 road sections, the construction of three bridges, and the installation of 434 public street lighting points.
