Sumbawa Student Found Hanged in West Lombok

A student from Sumbawa was found hanged in a house in the Lingkar Muslim Residential Estate, Bajur Village, Labuapi District, West Lombok, on Friday, 6 May. The student was found around 3:00 p.m. WITA, already suspended from a ceiling joist inside the house. At the time of discovery, he was wearing a black T-shirt and grey short cargo pants. ‘Found hanging yesterday, around 3:00 p.m. WITA,’ said Labuapi Police Sector Chief, Ipda I Nyoman Rudi Sentosa to detikBali, Saturday, 7 May 2026. Rudi did not comment much about the discovery. He explained that information within the jurisdiction of West Lombok Police Resort is conveyed through a single channel by the public relations division. He said the deceased student’s body had been taken to his home in Alas District, Sumbawa Regency, for burial after undergoing examination at Bhayangkara Hospital Mataram. ‘Already from Bhayangkara Hospital to Sumbawa,’ he added.
