Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf said around 655 billion rupiah of the total requirement is already available under a special budget ceiling, with the remainder to be proposed through additional funding.

“Funds that are ready for disbursement include compensation for heirs of deceased victims, living allowances, housing content assistance and socio-economic recovery support for affected communities,” he said.

Compensation payments totalling more than 14 billion rupiah have been distributed to 990 heirs of disaster victims, with each family receiving 15 million rupiah per victim, Saifullah said.

For living allowances, the ministry has disbursed more than 20 billion rupiah and will continue expanding coverage based on verified beneficiary data.

Meanwhile, more than 98 billion rupiah in housing content assistance has been prepared for distribution to over 32,000 beneficiary families across the three provinces.

Saifullah said the ministry stands ready to release all approved funds once data validation is completed, adding that coordination is ongoing with the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) and regional governments.

So far, 29 of 53 affected regencies and municipalities have completed validation and are cleared to receive rehabilitation and reconstruction assistance, he said.
