The Task Force for Accelerating Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (Satgas PRR) post-Sumatra disaster continues to distribute housing repair assistance to disaster survivors whose homes were damaged by hydrometeorological disasters in the provinces of Aceh, North Sumatra (Sumut), and West Sumatra (Sumbar).

Based on Satgas PRR data up to 17 April 2026, significant aid for repairing lightly and moderately damaged homes has been disbursed in the three provinces. In Aceh, repair aid has reached 12,856 lightly damaged homes and 9,347 moderately damaged homes, with a total aid value of Rp473.25 billion.

Meanwhile, in Sumut, aid has been distributed to 2,232 lightly damaged homes and 1,228 moderately damaged homes, with a total aid value of Rp40.56 billion. In Sumbar, aid has been given to 811 lightly damaged homes and 375 moderately damaged homes, with a total value of Rp23.415 billion.

In total, Rp537.22 billion has been disbursed for repair incentives covering 26,849 homes, continuing the phased distribution that reached Rp528.76 billion for 25,076 homes in March 2026.

Head of Satgas PRR post-Sumatra disaster, Muhammad Tito Karnavian, stated that housing repair aid is given directly to homeowners as incentive funds so that the community can promptly repair their homes independently. The aid amounts to Rp15 million for lightly damaged homes and Rp30 million for moderately damaged homes.

Additionally, to help survivors reorganise their lives, the government is also providing aid in the form of Rp3 million housing setup funds and Rp5 million economic stimulus. Other aid includes life guarantee (jadup) payments, which the government continues to disburse to ensure survivors’ basic daily needs, amounting to Rp450,000 per person per month.

“For (lightly damaged homes), it is aided with Rp15 million, plus other items from (the Social Affairs Ministry) totalling nearly Rp8 million more. Moderately damaged homes are aided with Rp30 million by BNPB and then also aided by the Social Affairs Ministry with more than Rp8 million,” said Tito after the Coordination Meeting on Permanent Housing Data Collection at the Ministry of Home Affairs Office, Jakarta, on Wednesday (15/4/2026).
