Sulthoni Leads Pemuda LIRA 2026-2031, Targets Consolidation
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Sulthoni has officially been appointed as the General Chairman of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of Pemuda Lumbung Informasi Rakyat (LIRA) for the 2026-2031 period.
LIRA President Andi Syafrani stated that the inauguration marks an important moment to strengthen the organisation’s internal structure. He targets that in the near future, the Pemuda LIRA leadership can be established and active throughout Indonesia.
“After this inauguration, we hope that Pemuda LIRA in all regions can be consolidated soon. Several areas have already been formed, and we will subsequently develop them in other regions,” said Andi in Rawamangun, East Jakarta, on Friday.
According to him, as the organisation’s wing, Pemuda LIRA has a strategic role in producing outstanding cadres ready to become future leaders.
He emphasised the importance of leadership regeneration to ensure the organisation’s sustainability.
“We want to produce outstanding, resilient, and integrity-driven cadres. Without strong cadre development, the organisation will not have a direction forward,” said Andi.
He also highlighted the importance of youth’s role in national development, hoping that Pemuda LIRA can become a strategic partner to the government while carrying out social control functions.
“The young generation determines the nation’s future. We want Pemuda LIRA to synergise with the government, private sector, and all elements of society to build a stronger state sovereignty,” explained Andi.
Meanwhile, the General Chairman of the DPP Pemuda LIRA for the 2026-2031 period, Sulthoni, stated that the new leadership will focus on strengthening the organisational structure down to the regional level.
Currently, the Pemuda LIRA network has been established in around 20 provinces and 20 regencies/cities.
In addition to Sulthoni, on that occasion, General Secretary Rio Susanto, General Treasurer Idris Rifandi, and other officials were also inaugurated. This process marks the beginning of the national-level consolidation of Pemuda LIRA.
“Going forward, we will reactivate the provincial branches and seek new officials in various regions. The target is for this structure to be evenly filled throughout Indonesia,” said Sulthoni.
Furthermore, he affirmed that Pemuda LIRA will be encouraged to synergise with the parent organisation down to the grassroots level, following the LIRA structure that has been established up to the sub-district level.
In addition, the organisation is also open to collaboration with various institutions, including the Election Supervisory Agency.
“We want youth to have ideas that can be given to the government. The principle is that youth must support pro-people government programmes, but also remain critical and bold in reminding if there are deviating policies,” said Sulthoni.
He also revealed that several Pemuda LIRA cadres have been active in the political arena, including becoming members of regional legislative councils.
This is expected to pave the way for other cadres to contribute more broadly in government sectors or others.
“We want to take a role in building the nation, according to each one’s expertise, whether through political mechanisms, government, or other fields,” said Sulthoni.
On the other hand, the Chairman of the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu), Rahmat Bagja, invited Pemuda LIRA to become a strategic partner in maintaining the quality of democracy in Indonesia.
“I ask the DPP Pemuda LIRA to become Bawaslu’s ally in safeguarding democracy and a good election process in Indonesia,” concluded Rahmat.
