'Sultan' of the Ministry of Manpower Surrenders Documents for 4 Ducati Motorcycles and Nissan GT-R, Some Without Registration
Irvian Bobby Mahendro, the ‘Sultan’ of the Ministry of Manpower and the defendant in the occupational safety and health (K3) certificate extortion case, surrendered documents for four Ducati motorcycles and a Nissan GT-R car worth Rp 5 billion that had been seized by the KPK. Bobby admitted that some of these vehicles were purchased using the off-the-road method, meaning they did not yet have BPKB registration.
The handover of the vehicle documents took place during the continuation of the trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Wednesday (6/5/2026). Initially, the legal team informed the panel of judges of Bobby’s intention to surrender the documents for the four Ducatis and the Nissan GT-R that had been seized by the KPK.
“Continuing on the matter of the four Ducati motorcycles, the defendant wishes to surrender the ownership documents that have not yet been seized by the KPK to the Public Prosecutor in this trial, Your Honour. Regarding the ownership evidence for the four Ducati motorcycles presented earlier by the prosecutor,” stated the lawyer.
After confirming that the vehicles had been seized, the judge asked for the prosecutor’s response. The prosecutors had no objection, as the vehicle documents would serve as supporting evidence for them.
“What is the Public Prosecutor’s response? Please,” said the judge.
“Thank you, Your Honours. Our statement is that this surrender greatly supports our proof later, Your Honours, and will assist us in the execution process,” replied the prosecutor.
“So, it can be accepted?” asked the judge.
“Yes, please proceed,” answered the prosecutor.
The judge immediately asked Bobby to hand over the documents to the front bench. There, Bobby submitted all the vehicle documents while explaining them in detail.
“This Ducati is indeed owned by the defendant. The question is, was this obtained from non-technical PJK3 funds?” asked the judge.
“Yes,” answered Bobby.
“This is the Ducati Hypermotard. This is the type of motorcycle. The key and book are here. Is this a spare key or has the main key not been handed over yet?” asked the judge.
“This is the spare key,” answered Bobby.
The judge then inquired about the BPKB for the Ducati Hypermotard. Bobby explained that he bought the Ducati motorcycle using the off-the-road method, meaning only the vehicle unit without documents.
“The STNK?” asked the judge.
“By chance, for the Hypermotard available with us, there is only the original book. However, the other three have STNK and BPKB, up to the vehicle invoice complete,” answered Bobby.
“This one has no BPKB. Where is the BPKB?” asked the judge.
“So, for the Hypermotard, I bought it off the road. Off the road means no BPKB and STNK.”
“Could it be said to be fake?” asked the judge.
“Oh, no. It can still be processed for name transfer. I haven’t had time to process it yet,” explained Bobby.
Bobby then detailed that the Ducati Hypermotard he bought cost Rp 750 million. Meanwhile, the Ducati XDiavel was purchased for Rp 1.1 billion.
“There are two more, right. Ducati Streetfighter B 4225 SUQ, BPKB, STNK, key book and complete invoice. How much did you buy it for?” asked the judge.
“Rp 1 billion,” answered Bobby.
“Then the last one, the fourth?” asked the judge.
“This is Ducati Multistrada, B 3838 BUB. STNK, key book, no invoice, yes. How much?” asked the judge.
“Rp 1.2 billion,” answered Bobby.
“Was this seized from your house?” asked the judge.
“Yes, from my house. The motorcycles were seized, the documents were not,” answered Bobby.
Meanwhile, for the Nissan GT-R car, Bobby explained that the purchase process was also done off the road. He stated that when seized, the car was still at the showroom.
“Was this seized from your house?” asked the judge.
“Seized from the showroom,” answered Bobby.
“Oh, from the showroom. Already paid?” asked the judge.
“Yes,” answered Bobby.
“Cash? How much?” asked the judge.
“Around Rp 5 billion,” answered Bobby.
“But the documents are not yet?” asked the judge.
“Indeed, if off the road,” answered Bobby.
“Meaning you haven’t had time to process it? Caught up by this criminal process?” asked the judge.
“Yes, that’s right, Your Honour,” answered Bobby.
