"Sultan Kemenaker" Reveals Noel Demanded Rp 3 Billion to "Resolve" Case
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Koordinator Bidang Kelembagaan dan Personel Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) Kementerian Ketenagakerjaan periode 2022–2025 Irvian Bobby Mahendro pernah dimintai uang Rp 3 miliar oleh mantan Wakil Menteri Immanuel Ebenezer alias Noel. Bobby, who is nicknamed “Sultan Kemenaker”, stated that Noel demanded the money due to an investigation by law enforcement authorities (APH) regarding non-technical funds obtained from extorting the management of K3 certifications within the Ministry of Manpower. “I was called via WhatsApp and asked to come to his room. I was informed about the APH investigation and advised to ‘just settle it’,” said Bobby during the extortion trial for K3 certifications at the Jakarta Corruption Court, on Wednesday (6/5/2026). Bobby explained that Noel knew the funds came from non-technical company services for K3 (PJK3). Noel also knew that Bobby acted as the coordinator managing those funds. Therefore, Noel demanded the Rp 3 billion to prevent the case from being pursued by authorities. “Yes, (sell) two cars worth around Rp 1.5 billion,” said Bobby. Bobby recounted that the collected non-technical funds were also used to buy vehicles, which could be sold at any time to meet certain needs, including requests from superiors. “So, these non-technical funds, I used to buy vehicles because when there is a need from the leadership, I sell those cars,” he said. Previously, Noel had admitted to receiving Rp 3 billion from Bobby. According to Noel’s version, he received the money shortly after Bobby asked for his help to resolve Bobby’s case with law enforcement authorities. Noel agreed to Bobby’s request because he felt he had connections to arrange the matter. “And I, at that time, because I had good communication with several institutions since we are in the cabinet, I was able to communicate that,” said Noel during the trial on 21 April 2026.
