Sulawesi Tenggara DJPb Urges KDMP to Develop Regional Flagship Products

The Sulawesi Tenggara Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury (Kanwil DJPb Sultra) is urging the Koperasi Desa Merah Putih (KDMP) to promote downstream processing of local products and broaden export markets based on regional flagship commodities, in line with efforts to achieve the economic self-reliance of villages and districts. The KDMP has formed 2,273 cooperatives, all of which have legal entity status. Iman Widhiyanto, head of Kanwil DJPb Sultra, said the cooperatives are expected to help strengthen rural economies and support community businesses and local products. “This will be an important foundation for strengthening rural economies and for enhancing the existing local business ecosystem. We also need to push synergy between KDMP and MBG so that these two initiatives can reinforce each other and open markets for local products,” he stated. The Sultra DJPb also announced that operational strengthening would be supported through APBN allocations for mentoring of KDMP amounting to 4.8 billion, as well as 264 officers to provide direct field mentoring to activate cooperatives not yet operating optimally.
