Sukuk Holders Reject PT Pos Indonesia Restructuring Plan
Holders of the Continuous Ijarah Sukuk I Pos Indonesia Series II 2025 have stated they do not approve of PT Pos Indonesia (Persero)’s restructuring plan. The principal value of the sukuk stands at Rp500 billion.
The restructuring was one of the agenda items at the Sukuk Ijarah Holders’ General Meeting (RUPSI) held on Friday, 4 September 2026. The RUPSI discussed three main agenda items.
The first agenda item covered an update on the condition of PT Pos Indonesia (Persero), while the second sought approval for the company’s restructuring as part of its recovery plan under the Transformation and Restructuring Plan.
The third agenda item concerned approval of a waiver of financial covenants based on the audited annual financial statements for the periods ending 31 December 2025 and 31 December 2026.
“In accordance with the results of the vote, based on the calculations and report of the Notary, the Sukuk Holders in the RUPSI, validly and bindingly, decided not to approve RUPSI Agenda Items 2 and 3,” as quoted from an information disclosure by the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Tuesday (8/9/2026).
At the RUPSI, sukuk holders and/or their lawful proxies present represented a principal value of Rp459.6 billion. That figure equates to 459.6 billion votes, or 91.92% of the total outstanding sukuk principal, after excluding sukuk owned by the issuer and/or its affiliates.
The outstanding principal of the Continuous Ijarah Sukuk I Pos Indonesia Series II 2025 totals Rp500 billion, equivalent to 500 billion votes. That figure was reduced by Rp10 million, or 10 million votes, held by the issuer’s affiliates.
PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) is one of the state-owned enterprises currently being rehabilitated by the Nusantara Capital Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara).
BPI Danantara Chief Operating Officer Dony Oskaria said only 30% of the problems remain to be fixed, including three sectors that are the main focus. These three sectors comprise state construction firms, the logistics sector, and pension funds.
Dony added that the logistics sector also needs to be repaired. He said Danantara is currently carrying out a transformation within PT Pos Indonesia. “My hope is that it can be completed by the end of this year as well,” he said.
