The Sukoharjo Police, along with the Kartasura and Grogol sub-precincts, distributed 250 free iftar meals to road users at the Kartasura Monument roundabout and the Solo Baru Pandawa roundabout, Grogol district, Sukoharjo Regency. Despite a light rain, all the iftar packages were distributed within minutes.
This social activity was carried out on Tuesday (24/2) afternoon. The activity was directly led by the Sukoharjo Police Chief, AKBP Anggaito Hadi Prabowo, after securing the peaceful demonstration by students from UIN Raden Mas Said at the Kartasura Monument roundabout and BEM Soloraya at the Solo Baru Pandawa roundabout.
Sukoharjo Police Chief, AKBP Anggaito Hadi Prabowo, said that the distribution of iftar meals is a routine agenda during Ramadan as a form of the Police’s concern for the community. He said that this social activity is carried out routinely during Ramadan.
“This afternoon, after securing the peaceful demonstration by students from UIN Raden Mas Said at the Tugu Kartasura and BEM Soloraya at the Pandawa Solo Baru roundabout, we carried out the distribution of iftar meals. Basically, we do this every day during Ramadan,” said Anggaito to reporters, Wednesday (25/2/2026).
He explained that the iftar sharing program involves all functional units within the Sukoharjo Police. Starting from the sub-precincts, Samapta, Bimas, Satreskrim, Satnarkoba, to Satlantas, all took part in this humanitarian activity.
The target of the iftar distribution is road users passing through the Kartasura Monument roundabout and BEM Soloraya at the Solo Baru Pandawa roundabout, including motorcyclists, public transport drivers, and pedestrians. All of them were seen orderly receiving the iftar packages distributed directly by the police.
Kartasura Police Chief, AKP Tugiyo, added that the location was chosen because it is a strategic point with quite heavy traffic flow leading up to iftar time.
“Alhamdulillah, it was all distributed quickly. For the Kartasura area, this is the third time we have carried out this iftar distribution activity,” he said.
In line with AKP Tugiyo, Grogol Police Chief, AKP Kurniawan, added that the location was chosen because it is a strategic point with quite heavy traffic flow leading up to iftar time.
According to him, this activity is part of the Police’s efforts to get closer and interact more with the community, as well as to create a safe and comfortable atmosphere during the holy month of Ramadan.
