The event, held at the Laban Village Hall, Mojolaban District, Sukoharjo Regency, on Tuesday (2/6/2026), was led directly by the Sukoharjo Police Chief, AKBP Anggaito Hadi Prabowo. The programme was attended by members of the Sukoharjo Regency DPRD Commission IV (Education and People’s Welfare), the Head of the Sukoharjo District Health Office, senior officials of the Sukoharjo Police, local officials from Mojolaban, community police officers (Bhabinkamtibmas), and residents of Laban Village.

This programme represents a synergy between the National Police and the local government in supporting the national initiative towards a TB-free Indonesia. It also aims to strengthen the role of Bhabinkamtibmas as the frontline of public service at the village level.

In his speech, AKBP Anggaito Hadi Prabowo emphasised that the pulmonary TB tracing programme is not merely ceremonial but will be implemented sustainably throughout the Sukoharjo Regency. “This activity will be carried out across the 12 districts in Sukoharjo Regency. We have also established partnerships with 10 public and private hospitals located in Sukoharjo Regency and Surakarta City to support the implementation of tracing, examinations, and the treatment of pulmonary TB patients,” he stated.

He noted that cross-sector collaboration is a strategic step to accelerate case detection and improve access to healthcare services for the community, as well as to suppress the spread of pulmonary TB in the Sukoharlo region. AKBP Anggaito hopes that the active role of Bhabinkamtibmas can serve as a bridge between the public and healthcare facilities, ensuring that residents with symptoms or close contact with TB patients can be detected immediately and receive appropriate medical treatment.

AKBP Anggaito officially launched the Pulmonary TB Tracing Programme, marked by the striking of a gong to symbolise the commencement of the programme across the entire jurisdiction of the Sukoharjo Police. Alongside the launch, AKBP Anggaito also symbolically handed over TB Tracing Kits to representatives of the Bhabinkamtibmas, equipment which will be distributed to all community police officers under the Sukoharjo Police command.

During the event, the Head of the Community Police Unit (Sat Binmas) of Sukoharjo Police explained that the involvement of Bhabinkamtibmas is expected to accelerate the early detection of pulmonary TB cases through a humanistic approach closely connected to the community. “Through this programme, Bhabinkamtibmas will assist in tracing and educating the public so that pulmonary TB cases can be found faster, treated appropriately, and the wider spread can be prevented,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Health Services and Disease Prevention and Control (Yankes P2P) at the Sukoharjo District Health Office, Sugeng Triyono, provided material regarding the management and prevention of pulmonary TB to the participants. The material covered tracing procedures, early detection of symptoms, and the necessary steps to take if residents suspected of being exposed to pulmonary TB are found.
