Sukoharjo Father Rapes Daughter Twice Weekly for Nine Years

A man identified by the initial F (51) in Kartasura District, Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java, repeatedly raped his biological daughter for nine years. The depraved acts of F were eventually uncovered, and he is now detained at the Sukoharjo Police detention centre. The continuous abuse made the victim unable to bear her suffering any longer. She finally mustered the courage to report her father’s heinous acts to her sibling and mother. Upon hearing the shocking confession, the family immediately took decisive action. They decided to report the rape case to the Sukoharjo Police. The victim’s legal counsel, I Made Ridho Ramadhan, stated that the victim is registered as a Solo resident but domiciled in Sukoharjo, where the crime scene is located. The perpetrator is strongly suspected to be her own father, who committed the rape for nine years. The victim dared to speak up on 26 April, and they assisted her in filing a report with the Sukoharjo Police on 3 May. Acting Deputy Chief of Sukoharjo Police, Commissioner Tiswanti, revealed that the rape first occurred in 2017. The perpetrator allegedly threatened the victim with violence. Tiswanti explained that the victim was the perpetrator’s biological child and was in her first year of junior high school, aged 12, when the crime began. The rape was committed with elements of coercion or threats of violence, forcing the victim to comply with the perpetrator’s demands out of fear. The rape continued until Sunday, 26 April. Over the nine-year period, F cruelly forced his daughter to have intercourse twice a week. The victim’s lawyer, I Made Ridho Ramadhan, explained that the perpetrator consistently used psychological threats to silence the victim. The perpetrator threatened to harm the victim’s mother if his demands were refused, often brandishing a sharp weapon. Ridho stated that the perpetrator used the pretext of threatening violence against the mother from the very beginning, forcing the victim to serve her father’s depraved lust out of love for her mother. As a result of his barbaric acts, F now faces severe punishment. The police are charging the perpetrator under Article 473 paragraph 9 of Law No. 1/2023 on the Criminal Code, or Article 413 of Law No. 1/2023 on the Criminal Code concerning sexual intercourse, which carries a maximum prison sentence of 10 years.
