Sukabumi Regency Government Engages All Territorial Units to Map Local Revenue Potential
The Sukabumi Regency Government is committed to increasing Locally Generated Revenue (PAD) as the primary capital for development. One of the steps taken is involving heads of public order and security sections (Trantibum), sub-district secretaries, and sub-district heads in mapping various revenue potentials that have not been optimally explored.
The potential mapping process was carried out through a meeting initiated by the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) of Sukabumi Regency at the Regional Secretariat Hall on Wednesday, 17 June 2026. Regional Secretary Ade Suryaman led the meeting, which was also attended by Sukabumi Regent Asep Japar and Vice Regent Andreas.
Head of Bapenda Sukabumi Regency Herdy Somantri stated that the wealth of resources owned by Sukabumi Regency should be directly proportional to the welfare of the community and the acceleration of regional development. According to him, the vision of ‘Sukabumi Mubarakah’ can only be realised through the collaboration of all regional apparatuses in increasing regional revenue.
Herdy said that the agribusiness and tourism sectors remain major potentials that need to be optimised. Therefore, Bapenda has requested sub-district officials, particularly Trantibum heads, to conduct field data collection regarding the existence of companies, tax objects and subjects, and land boundaries that could become sources of regional revenue.
Additionally, Bapenda is promoting various tax programmes, including the convenience of motor vehicle tax payments from the West Java Provincial Government and Bapenda Sukabumi Regency’s flagship programme called Pastel Isi (Pasar Pelayanan Pajak Teladan dan Terintegrasi), an integrated and exemplary tax service market.
Meanwhile, Sukabumi Regent Asep Japar requested all territorial apparatuses to honestly convey information regarding the potential in their respective areas that could become sources of regional revenue. ‘I ask everyone to be open because this is important for increasing PAD and the development of Sukabumi Regency. When there are residents or investors processing permits, please guide them according to the applicable regulations,’ he said on the occasion.
Asep also asked sub-district heads to strengthen internal supervision and actively assist the regional government in realising the Sukabumi Mubarakah vision. He even stated his readiness to directly monitor Land and Building Tax (PBB) data at the sub-district and village levels if necessary.
Vice Regent of Sukabumi Andreas assessed that the first step to be taken is strengthening consolidation between sub-districts, licensing agencies, and village and kelurahan governments to map PAD potential in more detail. According to him, accurate data collection will help the government understand the condition of taxpayers, including companies that are still active or have ceased operations. ‘I hope every sub-district head can present innovations in exploring regional potential so that PAD continues to increase and has a direct impact on accelerating development in Sukabumi Regency,’ he said.
