Sukabumi Deputy Regent: Results of TMMD Phase 127 Development Highly Beneficial for Community

The Deputy Regent of Sukabumi, Andreas, commended the development results of the Indonesian Armed Forces Village Development programme (TNI Manunggal Membangun Desa/TMMD) Phase 127 for the 2026 financial year, which was implemented in Parakanlima Village, Cikembar District. According to him, the development results achieved by the TNI working together with the community were extraordinary.

“I followed proceedings from opening through monitoring to closing. Extraordinary—the results are very good. They are indeed very useful for the community,” he stated whilst attending the closing ceremony of TMMD Phase 127 FY 2026 at Kodim 0607/Kota Sukabumi level, held at Lapang Perumnas Parakanlima Indah in Kertaraharja Village, Cikembar District, on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.

The programme encompassed several development initiatives, including road construction to support community access, road improvements comprising concrete and asphalt work, substandard housing rehabilitation, provision of clean water facilities, and various non-physical activities. “Roads that have been damaged for a long time can now be utilised by the community,” he said.

Accordingly, he appealed to residents to continuously maintain and care for the infrastructure. “I hope the community will maintain and care for it, so that the roads will have a long lifespan,” he said.

He explained that in developing Sukabumi Regency, the local government consistently maintains good collaboration with various stakeholders. “Sukabumi is the largest regency in West Java, so collaboration is needed in its development. We cannot work alone; we need support from the TNI, police, and the community. Therefore, in every development project, we will continue to collaborate,” he said.

Commander of Military Resort (Danrem) 061/Suryakancana Brigadier General Thomas Rajunio added that road development is highly beneficial for the community, particularly in terms of improving community economic welfare. “With this road development, community mobility becomes faster. The economy can develop better,” he asserted. “Hopefully, the cooperation between the TNI and the people can become even stronger.”
