THE Sukabumi City Department of Manpower (Disnaker), West Java, has opened an information and complaints post for the tunjangan hari raya (THR) and the bonus hari raya (BHR). At the same time, Disnaker has warned companies to comply with the circular from the Minister of Manpower on providing religious THR for private workers and the circular on providing religious BHR for drivers and couriers in app-based transport services. The Head of Industrial Relations at Disnaker Sukabumi City, Nia Vaulina, explained that the THR information post has been open for two weeks, or 15 days before Eid al-Fitr of 1447 Hijri. The post exists to provide information services to employees wanting to know the THR amount.

“Later, on H-7 before Eid al-Fitr, we will begin opening the complaints post. For employees who have not received THR by H-1, they can lodge their complaint with us. We will then forward these complaints to the labour inspectors in the West Java Provincial Government,” Nia said on Sunday (8/3).

Nia reminded companies that THR and BHR must be paid in cash, in full, and must not be paid in instalments. THR is provided to both permanent and non-permanent staff who have continuously worked for more than one month.

“For workers with continuous service of one year or more, THR is one month’s wage. But for workers with more than one month but less than a year, THR is provided proportionally,” she explained.

Meanwhile, the BHR for drivers and couriers in app-based transport services is set at a minimum of 25% of the average net income over the last 12 months. Other requirements are not far different from those for THR.

“BHR must be paid in cash no later than H-7,” she said.

Disnaker is intensively socialising these two circulars with various related parties. Next week, monitoring of THR and BHR payments to each company is scheduled.”
