Suhud Alynudin Discusses Jakarta's Development After Approval as DPRD Chairman

Suhud Alynudin shared these remarks following the plenary session of the DKI Jakarta DPRD on Thursday (30/4/2026). He stated his readiness to carry out his duties with the support of fellow council members and the provincial government. “I am grateful and, of course, I pledge to strive to meet all the expectations of my colleagues and the people of DKI Jakarta to drive and accelerate Jakarta’s development together with the Governor,” Suhud said. Suhud also highlighted the importance of collaboration between the DPRD and the DKI Provincial Government moving forward. He hopes that the existing synergy can be further strengthened. “Hopefully, the collaboration ahead will be even better,” he stated. Previously, the DKI Jakarta DPRD plenary session approved the proposal to replace the DPRD Chairman from Khoirudin to Suhud Alynudin. The proposal is a follow-up to the decision of the Central Board of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS). Deputy Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Ima Mahdiah explained that the next mechanism is submission to the central government through the governor. “Later through the Governor of DKI, it will proceed to the Ministry of Home Affairs. So we will await the decision from the Ministry of Home Affairs,” Ima said. On the same occasion, DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung expressed appreciation for Suhud’s designation as the prospective DPRD Chairman. He assured that he would promptly follow up the proposal to the Ministry of Home Affairs upon receiving the official letter from the DPRD. “Once the letter is submitted to the DKI Government, to me as governor, I will immediately follow it up to the Ministry of Home Affairs to become a decision,” Pramono said.
