Suhud Alynudin Appointed Chairman of Jakarta DPRD, Succeeding Khoirudin
Suhud Alynudin has officially assumed the position of Chairman of the Jakarta DPRD for the remainder of the 2024-2029 term, replacing Khoirudin from the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) faction. The inauguration of the new Chairman took place during a Plenary Session for the Swearing-in/Oath of Office for Suhud Alynudin, representing the PKS faction, held today.
The swearing-in ceremony was led by the Chairman of the Jakarta High Court, Nugroho Setiadji, and witnessed by all attendees present at the meeting. Following the administration of the oath, Suhud Alynudin was officially recognised as the Chairman of the Jakarta DPRD for the remaining period of the 2024-2029 term. Following the ceremony, the session gavel was symbolically handed over from Khoirudin to Suhud Alynudin.
“I am grateful to have been entrusted with this responsibility, and I am committed to carrying out this mandate well,” Suhud stated in Jakarta on Monday.
The decision to dismiss Khoirudin as Chairman was in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) Number 12 of 2018, Article 37, Paragraphs (1) and (2), regarding the Guidelines for Drafting the Rules of Procedure for Provincial, Regency, and City DPRD, as well as Article 87, Paragraph (2) of the Jakarta DPRD Regulation Number 1 of 2024. The replacement of the Chairman was also prompted by the Decree of the Central Executive Board of the Prosperous Justice Party (DPP-PKS) Number 179/SKEP/DPP-PKS/2026, dated 2 April 2026. Meanwhile, the appointment of Suhud Alynudin as Chairman complies with PP Number 12 of 2018, Article 39, and Article 89, Paragraph (2) of the Jakarta DPRD Regulation Number 1 of 2024 regarding the Rules of Procedure of the Jakarta DPRD.
