Suharti Wins Outstanding Leader in Transformation of National Education Governance
Secretary General of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen), Suharti, has received the Outstanding in Transformation of National Education Governance award at the CNN Indonesia Leading Women Awards 2026.
The award was presented by CNN Indonesia Director Desi Anwar at the gala event held in the Auditorium of Menara Bank Mega on Tuesday (5/4) evening.
Suharti has served as Secretary General of Kemendikdasmen since 2025. From 2021 to 2025, she held the position of Secretary General at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek).
She has also held various positions in the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, including Deputy and Acting Regional Assistant of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, as well as Director at BAPPENAS from 2014 to 2015.
Suharti is recognised as a strategic leader in the transformation of national education governance. Her cross-institutional experience has shaped a comprehensive understanding from policy planning to implementation.
As Secretary General, Suharti ensures that education policies are implemented effectively and accountably. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she led the Jakarta Development Collaboration Network (JDCN) through the KSBB education programme to provide devices for underprivileged students.
This commitment to collaboration and equitable education continues in the digital transformation of education.
